Processor:
The processor is the brain of the computer. What you need to do is make sure you do not get a new computer with old or outdated technology, especially if you’re running programs or games that require a lot of computing capability.
One way to evaluate processors is to learn the speed and number of cores. The speed of the processor tells you how fast the processor is. For cores, today there are single, dual-core and quad-core processors. Multi-core computers make it easy to perform multiple tasks at the same time. As the price rises, you get more of everything, but in the end you may buy more than you actually need.
Memory:
When you go to buy a computer, a number you will definitely see is how much memory it has measured in gigabytes (GBs). The higher the number the better, especially if you do a lot of multitasking which means running multiple programs at once.
For reference, 2 GB is the lowest memory you’ll find on a new computer and goes up from there-4, 6, 8, 16 and so on.
Storage:
A hard drive is where all the information on your computer is stored. Every time you create files of any kind and save them on your computer, they are stored on your hard disk.
Your computer’s operating system and all the programs you run are also stored on your computer’s hard drive. So, the higher the capacity of the hard drive, the better for you since you can store more data. But remember that SSD drives have less capacity than HDDs, but have other benefits.
