Superfoods is a marketing term used to describe foods — mostly plant-based but also some fish and dairy — thought to be nutritionally dense and thus good for one’s health. However, there are no set criteria for determining what is and what not a superfood is.
Some examples of foods known as superfoods are:
- Blueberries
- Kiwi fruit
- Beans
- Spinach
- Tea (green or black)
- Tomatoes
- Yogurt
- Salmon
