Triathlon is a combination of three continuous events, where in its most popular form involves swimming, cycling and running. The athletes participate consecutively and without a significant break between the three components, however there are transition times where athletes are wearing the right clothes and adjusting their equipment. The winner is the one who finishes first. Although athletes are timed, no official world record is recognized, as geophysical attributes differ from place to place. The Olympic triathlon in both men’s and women’s events includes:
- Swimming 1500 m in the sea
- Cycling 40 km
- Running 10 km
Triathlon is a very demanding sport both physically and mentally, but it brings you close to nature and pushing yourself to its limits!
