Michael Phelps is an American former Olympic athlete in the sport of swimming.
- He was born on 30 June 1985 in Baltimore, United States of America and is the athlete who has won most Olympic medals than any other.
- Specifically, he won 28 medals (23 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze) in various swimming events where 16 were in individual events.
- He participated in five Olympic Games (2000-Sydney, 2004-Athens, 2008-Beijing, 2012-London and 2016-Rio de Janeiro) and won medals in all except the Sydney Olympics where he was only 15!
- Now he has retired from the sport.
